Logo of The Pier at Lake Austin featuring swans.

Senior Thesis Project

Blending my background in mixed media with strategic design thinking, I developed a

branding concept centered on restoring the historic Pier on Lake Austin into a boutique

hotel and café. The project reimagines the once-popular gathering space through

Since the name is the swan dive, I wa

Hand-held fan

Going back to my origin, being someone who loves hand drawn and painted elements, I water colored this fan.

Hand-held fan

The item is a hand-held fan that I watercolored to create a natural scene of the lake. It features a blue heron bird sitting on the bank of the water. I used a mix of blues and greens to match the changing colors of the water based on the sunlight. I deepened the color green for the plant elements to note the different variety of species on the land. There are details of shimmery gold
